The pandemic has completely disrupted traditional school systems across the U.S., with approximately 1.5 million students leaving public school in 2020-2021, and homeschooling more than doubling since March of 2020.
You too may be homeschooling because of the pandemic, or you may know families who have chosen homeschooling over other options.
Current research is showing that many families who have tried homeschooling have found that they like it and will continue to homeschool next year, regardless of any public health improvements. So if you are thinking that your temporary homeschooling solution may not be so temporary, you’re not alone!
Time4Learning Connects With Its Members
In Time4Learning’s continuous quest to improve its program, we once again asked members to provide feedback—what they like, what can be improved, whether they will continue homeschooling, and why. What Time4Learning discovered from the almost 1,000 responding members who chose to homeschool their children since March 2020 is that nearly 91% of them are satisfied with their child’s homeschool education. In fact, almost 94% of members surveyed say that they will continue to homeschool rather than send their children to traditional school, and over 95% said they will continue to homeschool with Time4Learning for at least 3 months after the survey was conducted. Over 60% of families noted that homeschooling made them feel safer with respect to COVID-19 and that they had more control over what their children were learning.
“In fact, almost 94% of members surveyed say that they will continue to homeschool rather than send their children to traditional school, and over 95% said they will continue to homeschool with Time4Learning for at least 3 months after the survey was conducted.”
When asked what they enjoy about Time4Learning, over 90% of families chose flexibility. More than half stated that their children enjoy the lessons and activities, and close to half of the families surveyed noted that Time4Learning’s parent tools make homeschooling easier, and at a price that is more affordable than other homeschool products (and in many cases private schools).
Even with all these accolades and a 4.3 out of a five-star rating, which survey respondents awarded us for member experience, Time4Learning knows that it needs to keep improving by learning about, and continually listening to, its members. Time4Learning is working to better its products and website experience, strengthen its customer service, and engage with its members even more. Time4Learning’s 2021 online graduation is the perfect example of how the company is trying to create more community in its worldwide net of members. The tremendous turnout and positive feedback from that event further demonstrate that homeschooling is here to stay and that Time4Learning remains a much-needed partner for families in these uncertain times!
