Hi, I need a progress report and a report to re enroll my kids back into school. I only see the custom report that shows Eve and the school did not except it
Hi Michelle! Since Time4Learning is a curriculum and not a school, we don’t issue progress reports. Parents can use the data from our automated reporting system to create and issue those if they choose. You can find some free progress report templates online, then just fill them in based on the information from the Time4Learning reports. Please contact our customer support team if we can answer any additional questions! https://www.time4learning.com/contact-us/
Hello! I have a highschooler in 10th grade who is currently enrolled in public school. We want to switch to time4learning for 11th and 12th grade, how would we get his transcript from his public school into your system once the time has come
Hi Luke! Since Time4Learning is a curriculum and not a school, you don’t need to add any data from prior curricula/schools into our system. However, you will want to hold onto any reports/transcripts you get from the school. As a homeschooler, the parent serves as the official teacher of record and will create transcripts for your homeschooler. Please let us know if we can answer any additional questions for you!
I have high school freshmen in 3rd of early college. How do I create a transcript to reflect all college courses rather than high school courses? I paid for them to attend community college and they are likely to have associate’s degree in civil engineering in 1 year. PLEASE advise
Hi! As a general rule, a year-long college course is one high school credit. A semester college course is 1/2 high school credit. It’s also usually recommended that you include the college in which you earned the credit on the transcript. You would just include those college courses with the rest of your high school course information. Hope that helps!
Thank you. The transcript template and the GPA information was very helpful.
We’re so glad it was a good resource for you, Rebecca! Thank you!
Are the written assignments in high school language arts graded by an outside teacher like time4writing was ?
Hi Trid. The high school writing assignments, depending on the type, are either system graded or parent graded. No teacher interaction. Parents can manually change the score of any system graded activity if they need, and we provide rubrics for the parent graded activities. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to our customer support team if we can try to answer any additional questions! https://www.time4learning.com/curriculum/contact_us.php
I’m going to move to Costa Rica with my child and I have been using time4learning for his 7th and 8th year will it be valid in another country? Thank you.
Hi Rosa! Since Time4Learning is a curriculum and not a school, families can use us anywhere there’s a reliable internet connection! We do recommend that you make sure you follow the homeschooling laws and requirements where you’re located. Please let us know if you have additional questions we can try to answer!
I am trying to create a transcript for my high schooler in NYS. how do i count the classes in regards to assigning credits? is each passed class 2 credits or 10 or even 20?
Hi NickyM! Each state could have different requirements for credits earned, but a good average is 120-180 study hours = 1 credit hour. As a general rule, if the course takes a school year to complete, it should count as 1 credit hour. If a course is completed in a semester instead of a full year, it counts as 1/2 credit. Here is a little more info: https://www.homeschool.com/blog/2020/09/guide-to-giving-high-school-credits/
Since I have a special needs child, I only grade on a pass/fail motif. I feel a letter grade can be discouraging to the child. I have a high schooler, and I want her learning experience to be more about learning and less about achievement. I also include life skills education that will be more useful to her, than some traditional topics. Math is our biggest challenge, I have opted not to offer the traditional math, but offer, other “life math”, banking, measuring, personal finance, investing, etc. I feel that algebra, and geometry will be useless to her.
Thank you for stopping by our blog and sharing your experience, Lainie!
I’m considering placing my elementary school children back in public school. They asked me to provide a transcript showing their grade level and grades per subject. How do I get those?
Hi Kristen! As a homeschooler, the parent serves as the official teacher of record and will create and maintain transcripts. The automated reporting within your T4L parent account does help with that! Once logged in, you can go to lesson planning and reporting, then click on generate reports. You’ll set your parameters there. If you need assistance with reports, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our customer support team! https://www.time4learning.com/curriculum/contact_us.php
With my elementary students , once each grade is completed will Time4learning keep record of it? For instance my 4th grader is using your curriculum and in 6th grade she will returning to public school. Will I have proof that she will have completed 4th and 5th?
Hi Kayla! All progress made/work completed within T4L will be kept for as long as your account remains active. Once an account is cancelled, reports and progress are no longer available.
where are the honor courses in Time4learning
Hi Margaret! Thanks so much for stopping by our blog! Time4Learning doesn’t have honor courses at this time. You can take a look at the high school courses we do offer here: https://www.time4learning.com/homeschool-curriculum/high-school.html
Please let us know if we can answer any additional questions for you!
Will my child receive a high-school diploma
Hi Kimberly! Time4Learning is a curriculum provider not a school, so Time4Learning does not issue diplomas. Homeschooling is legal in all 50 states and as such, parents serve as the official teacher of record for the homeschool and issue homeschool diplomas.
How do i find the answer keys?
Hi Benjamin! We edited your comment to remove the names of children for privacy/safety.
Answer keys are located in your parent account. Once you log in, head to Manage Students. Under your student’s name, you’ll select either scope and sequence, or course map (this will depend on the grade level and subject your student is in).
If you still need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our customer support team! 🙂 https://www.time4learning.com/curriculum/contact_us.php
If I start highschool in this site, will I be able to graduate high school through here and proceed to college?
Hi Emily! Thanks for your interest! Time4Learning is a curriculum provider not a school, so you wouldn’t graduate from Time4Learning. Homeschooling is legal in all 50 states and as such, parents serve as the official teacher of record for the homeschool and issue homeschool diplomas.
We have had many, many homeschool graduates successfully continue to college! We recently held a homeschool graduation celebration with over 100 participants! Many were planning on attending (already accepted) to college. Take a look! 🙂 https://www.time4learning.com/blog/contests-events/reflections-on-our-first-graduation-celebration/
UnderSchool/Institution Information, what do I fill in? Is it my home address, or is it something else? Also, under course name and description, there are 4 boxes to fill in. My child only has taken 4 courses total for half a semester. Do I fill in N/A for the empty spaces or do I leave them blank? InDual Enrollment – Honors/ College Classes,Standardized Testing Information,Activities, Awards, Achievements, Hobbies, Volunteer Work, etc., my child has not done any of these. Do I also just leave them blank or do I fill in N/A? And then in “Cumulative GPA:” and “Diploma Earned:”, what do I fill in for those two? Sorry first time homeschooling and I don’t know how to fill these out!
Hi Jing! The last few pages of the template that you download has some great info to help you complete the transcript. We’ll try to answer your questions here too!
As a homeschooler, you would list your school name (this is something you choose, if desired) and your home location.
Those four boxes usually represent a grade level, so you have a box for 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades. You can edit and add to the transcript at the end of each year if that’s convenient for you. We would recommend just leaving empty spaces blank until you need to use them.
For the extras you mentioned, you only need to fill those out if those are things your student has completed. If college is in their future, we recommend reaching out to the schools your student is interested in attending, and working with the admissions counselors to make sure you’re fulfilling all the requirements to apply.
When you’re ready to graduate your student, you would then enter their GPA and the date that their diploma was earned.
Hope that helps! Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you still have additional questions! https://www.time4learning.com/curriculum/contact_us.php
Is Time 4 Learning accepted by the NCAA?
Hi, thanks for stopping by! Time4Learning is a curriculum and not a school, so homeschool parents need to make sure they meet the NCAA eligibility requirements. You can find more about those here: https://www.ncaa.org/student-athletes/future/home-school-students
Hi! My daughter is in 1st grade. I would like to do homeschooling for her with time4learning next year. Will she be given any grade completion certificate after completing her grade courses that is accepted by the public schools in Houston, Texas when she returns back to public school learning? Is time4learning a texas accredited home school learning program?
Hi, Vani! We’re often asked if Time4learning is accredited. The short answer is ‘no,’ but the longer answer is worth understanding. Accreditation is a form of credentialing that applies to schools. Accreditation addresses issues such as teacher:student ratios, number of computers in the media center, number of teachers holding advanced degrees, curriculum used, and so on. Because Time4Learning is a curriculum and not a school, accreditation does not apply to us. However, the curriculum offered by Time4Learning is used at many accredited schools across the United States, so you can be assured that it is educationally rigorous.
Since we are a curriculum and not a school, we don’t issue completion certificates, but we do offer free certificate templates for our members to fill out and download if you’d like.
As far as returning to school, we have many families from Texas who have homeschooled successfully, and re-enrolled in the public school system. Each district could have their own requirements, so we recommend reaching out to your local school to ask what they expect of homeschoolers when entering/re-entering the school system.
Please let us know if we can answer any additional questions! https://www.time4learning.com/curriculum/contact_us.php
I need to print a transcript for my son in 4rth grade by may 15thhow do i do it and quick and do i half to fill it in
Hi! Transcripts are usually created for high school students, but if you do need one, you can print this template and complete it by hand, or online with a PDF editor.
I downloaded the template but it won’t let me fill it in.
Hi Sharon! If you download and install the free Adobe Acrobat Reader program, you’ll be able to type/complete and print the transcript. Once you have the program installed, open the transcript using AAR and look for the option to “fill and sign.” 🙂
I would like to get ****** transcripts. He is a 5th Grader I need the whole transcript through 2021
Hi! We removed your student’s name for privacy. Active Time4Learning members can generate reports from within their parent account. Since we are a curriculum and not a school, we don’t provide transcripts. Parents create and maintain those. We provide a template that members can use: https://www.time4learning.com/blog/tips-worksheets/homeschool-high-school-transcript-template/
You can also find additional transcript information here: https://www.homeschool.com/articles/free-guide-to-creating-homeschool-high-school-transcripts/

If my 9th grade is enrolled next year will she recieve credits toward graduation? Can she use them to graduate with her class in public school
Hi! Thanks for your interest, and for stopping by. Homeschooling is legal in all 50 states, and as such, parents (the homeschool teacher of record) issue credits earned. As far as re-entering the school system, that varies by state/school, so we recommend checking with them to make sure. 🙂
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you have additional questions! https://www.time4learning.com/curriculum/contact_us.php
I’m trying to get my child’s transcript from last year. How can I get it since the school she attends keeps asking for it so that they could give her the credits for the work that she did so that they put her in the right classes?
Hello! If your Time4Learning account is no longer active, please reach out to our customer support team to see what they can do. Thanks! https://www.time4learning.com/curriculum/contact_us.php
My daughter is in Kindergarten, does she need an Home School template as well?
Hi Tiffany! Transcripts aren’t usually a concern until high school. For early elementary students, parents should just be able to keep records/portfolios based on their state’s requirements. 🙂 https://www.time4learning.com/homeschooling/by-state.html
My whole transcript up to the first semester of 10th grade is in public school and college classes. If I do the 2nd semester of 10th grade only through time4learning without a charter school (I would be traditionally homeschooling), would the transcript that I create after 10th grade be accepted by a homeschool charter school? In other words, is there a written report in this program that says how you did in the course and when you did it? Thanks
Hi! Yes, parents can print reports showing what was completed and any scores. As far as acceptance by the homeschool charter school, we recommend that you reach out to them to make sure. You can always contact our customer support if you have additional questions. 🙂 https://www.time4learning.com/curriculum/contact_us.php
I’m interested in doing my senior year on time4learning. Would I need to transfer my transcripts from my current high school (grades 9-11)?and on the downloadable transcript would I add the previous years to it?
Hi Blaine! Since we are a curriculum and not a school, we wouldn’t need your transcripts from your current high school. You will want those records though, so you can use them to build out your homeschool transcript. Yes, you would just add the credit hours/courses from your current high school to the downloaded transcript you use for homeschool. 🙂
If you have additional questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us! https://www.time4learning.com/curriculum/contact_us.php
Thank you for the template. Is it fillable? Then printable? If not, how do I complete it typed? I don’t want to complete it by hand. Thank you for your assistance.
Hi Maria! If you download and install the free Adobe Acrobat Reader program, you’ll be able to type/complete and print the transcript. Once you have the program installed, open the transcript using AAR and look for the option to “fill and sign.” 🙂
Can template be downloaded using an iPad or does it have to be a PC?
Hi Mona! The template can definitely be downloaded on an iPad, but you’ll want to make sure you have a pdf editor on your device. 🙂
My child has more courses than there are spaces for. Is there any way to just print out the course section?
Hi Angie! We don’t have just a course section on this transcript template, but here are some links where you can look for additional transcript templates. You might find one that works a little better for your needs. 🙂

Hi my daughter did half of a year in 7th grade and the other half of it homeschooled she also did 8th and 9th homeschooled does she need a transcript to start 10th grade is it necessary also she failed 2 times in school with they let her go to the tenth because it’s her right grade with out a transcript
Hi Tina! Whether or not she needs a transcript to re-enter the school system is going to depend on each school district’s requirements. We’d definitely recommend reaching out to your school board to see what they need! 🙂
Do I need a transcript template for my sixth grade special Ed child with autism
Hi Kristi. Transcripts are usually for high school students, but the records that you need to keep will vary depending on what your state requires. We do have some information on portfolios that you might find useful: https://www.time4learning.com/homeschool_portfolios.shtml
Will my high school daughter’s transcripts be accepted.
Hi Shawn. Homeschooling is legal in all 50 states, so any diploma you (the homeschool parent) issue should be accepted when a high school diploma is asked for* (thinking employment, military enrollment, etc.). *This information should not be interpreted as legal advice. It is your responsibility to interpret and understand the laws that you will be homeschooling under.
If you’re asking if her transcripts will be accepted for college admissions, you should reach out to the college(s) she is interested in attending and speak with their admissions counselors as each school will have their own set of admissions requirements.
I have an ESE student. Fo I still have to maintain his IEP or can I just teach him according to his ability?
Hi! That could vary depending on your state. Many parents that choose to homeschool their child with an IEP will continue with the IEP and any services that it provides. However, if your state doesn’t have any regulations in place for that, you should be able to homeschool him at his pace, without maintaining the IEP. We would definitely recommend making sure you’re familiar with your state’s homeschooling laws, and double checking with your current school board. 🙂 https://www.time4learning.com/homeschool/state_homeschooling_info.shtml
Is there information on what you need to transfer from homeschool to an Arizona public high school? Will they take all credits? Thank you!
Hi Jennifer, great question! Enrolling/re-enrolling in the public school system will vary, and will depend on each school board. Many take homeschool transcripts, but some do require accredited credits. Your best bet is to reach out to the school system to make sure. Good luck! We do have a page that might be a good resource, all about homeschooling in Arizona: https://www.time4learning.com/homeschooling/arizona/ Good luck! 🙂
Is there anyway I can get my child’s hours if our acct has been expired?
Hi Melisa. It’s possible you can still retrieve records, but it’s going to depend on how long ago the account expired. I would give our customer support team a call at 888-771-0914 and see what they can do! 🙂
Is there anyway to change the GPA calculation to a simple A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1?
Hi Beth. The grading scale is based on standardized information provided by the National Center for Education Statistics. This is just a suggestion to help parents with calculating GPA. As the teacher of record you can choose the scale that works for you. 🙂
How do I make this editable on my pc?
Hi Stacy. Once you download it to your PC, you should be able to open and edit (don’t try to edit in the browser tab, try and edit the one you downloaded). 🙂
I have downloaded the transcript template, updated Adobe Reader, and still cannot edit the transcript without paying a monthly or annual fee to upgrade the Adobe software. Can you please provide a template that is more user friendly? A Word or Excel format would be ideal.
Hi Jillian! You shouldn’t need to buy any service. Once the template is downloaded to your computer, open it and click on Tools in the tab near the top. From there, click fill and sign. You should then be able to type within each field. If you have further trouble though, please don’t hesitate to reach out! 🙂
How much does it cost? My son is in the 10th grade
Hi Loretta! If you’re asking about the template, it’s a free download. 🙂 If you’re asking about how much the Time4Learning curriculum costs, at the high school level it’s $30 per month/per student for 4 courses. Additional courses are $5 per month/per student.
I’m in public school, but I really want to do online health so I can take other science classes. I’m trying to get your high school health program approved, but in order to do that, they want an official transcript (grade). Is that possible?
Hi Emily! Time4Learning is a curriculum, not a school. We don’t provide transcripts, but our program does offer automated reports (scores, duration, etc.). You can use that report info to create your transcript. Hope that helps! 🙂
Do you know if Ohio public school can accept home school transcripts, or is that a district-based decision?
Hi Lillia. While homeschooling is legal in all 50 states, it’s always a good idea to check with the school board if you think you might enroll/re-enroll in the public school system. 🙂
what program should i use to open the transcript to type in it?
Hi Beth! If you’re using a Mac, you can just download, then open the PDF. You can edit it in Preview. If you’re using a Windows PC, you should be able to open the downloaded PDF in any PDF reader (like Adobe Acrobat) and make edits. If you’re still having trouble, definitely let us know. We can try to troubleshoot!
How can this be properly filled out if it’s printed up first? I’m looking for one that I can fill out online
Hi Susan! Once downloaded, the transcript can be completed on your computer then printed out.
I downloaded it, but cannot figure out how to type the information into it
Most Excellent! Thank You!
Our pleasure, Twyla, glad we can help!
tanks really nice
